GOD

We pray to God. It's like our fore-fore-fathers or parents created an imaginary idols and pictures to confess our sins and feelings without any fear and relieve our heart from the burden of it. Fear is shared to save us from the shame we might earn by sharing with human. Feeling of hatred, love, affection and desire to be fulfilled can only be confessed and requested to God without the feeling of insult from human. Sins we have committed which can't be shared yet our conscience torture us hence we need to shed it out from our heart to get relieved of it. What a fabulous brain our fore-fore-parents would have had to create such a feeling called GOD.
None have seen GOD to validate his presence yet we all believe in him and we should. God is great and we need him.
Fear of GOD controls human from committing sin and in many people even restricts them to live within their principle of life with due respect to others feelings.
But how the sentiments and superstitious thoughts came to existence, I wonder. People who are devout and stanch supporters of GOD equally believe in superstitions. But most of the times it's superstition that wins over GOD, Why? I know a person who even steps out of his house only after carefully seeing who is coming in front of them, Where is GOD for these people. This Guy goes to temple and does lot of things to prove his belief in GOD to any common human yet we friends know that for him Superstitions have more value and power than God.
My verdict: If you believe in GOD you should never have any other superstitions on your mind and vice versa.

Cancer to Cricket

Twenty20, before they could start his world cup, I thought like many that this will be a boring World Cup. But this seems to be more exciting than any form of cricket. Short but full of energy and very and truly unpredictable. No team is superior in this version. Since the team have the same 11 players and only 20 overs, the swipe and swing at everything with full power.
Looks like this Twenty20 version will put other versions like one-day and test to sleep. After seeing these matches one cannot imagine to sit watching the slow pace of Test Cricket or even One day in comparison. Color dress in cricket game and gave color but the real fine gentlemen white kind of dress is gone; white they currently use it full of sponsors (money). I am sure that Twenty20 will not only kill Test Cricket and ODI's but also the bowlers. Not many bowlers are going to survive despite of their real talent which could have earned them a better reputation in the other versions.

For Cricket lovers, we can see many teams play in a day. For cricketers, this is more strenuous since from the start he pressure is on unlike the ODI's where only the last 10 or 5 overs is tensed.

Innovations means death of the previous version, kill boredom with changes. Entertainment in Cricket means more money.

Mobile phone ban for Children under 16yrs in Karnataka

Watched the debate on NDTV last night, it doesn't make sense to many giving health as a reason for children under 16yrs. There are so many other real health hazards like cigarettes, pan parag, pan and the worst liquors which causes more causality and problems to themselves and the public. Why didn't the Govt. think about this? Mobile isn't as dangerous to be banned, children use it mostly to be in touch with their friends and family. If radiations is the reason for the ban, why cant they think if head sets can be a better options than banning. They should stop selling liquor which in many states are adulterated as well.
Using mobile phones during or inside the class is unacceptable but this should not stop them from using after or in case of emergency.
We all studied without mobile phones, but those years were different. Ladies never or rarely ventured out after 5p.m. Now there are ladies night out also so you can see the change in freedom. Along with any kind of freedom, danger or security or sincerity also take twist. Had our parents had the money, time and Technology like now, we would have carried mobiles. So comparisons are a time pass. Infact it we, educated parents who are giving mobile phones to our Children mostly to stay in touch - that extra confidence of being close to your children.
My view is, banning mobile phones for children under 16yrs is not done with the reason quoted over the media (Health), maybe there is more to this. Liquors or Alcohol cause more damages in day to day life and in many cases results in fatality and brutality, why isn't this banned?

Sales

Working for almost 15years, each day at the office was a learning day. Now heading a team and reporting to higher ups, one feel that not many have backbone to stand straight and tall when they come under pressure. In various places I have worked, even the best of bosses at some point turned it on you with a big lie or double standard. These are genuinely nice natured people; due to the importance in them self and as an art of survival and portrayal these denial happen. Pressures make them change but there are very few who don't change their personality under these situations.
Now, In every organization Sales is considered the key and operations take the back seat. But many bosses don't know to differentiate the two departments. Bosses mix up to such and extent they try to drive operations from a remote location. Sales can be driven but operations need someone to be physically present and monitor each and every moments and services. If any one claims that they can run operation from a remote location, they are only trying to fool the the management.
At present, many companies are coming with a bigger designation and monetary benefit for client servicing than sales. The importance of retention of a client has become as important as a new client. Only now organization's realize that service are the bones and sales are the lovely muscles we build.

News

ICL and BCCI lock horns legally it's so interesting. BCCI, private body claiming and representing Indian and grounds depriving other bodies of equality and depriving of their rights. BCCI and the local cricket bodies rent their grounds from football matches, beauty pageants to exhibitions the real and genuine purpose and usage of cricket ground is only misused. ICL request to use their grounds has been refused. Awaiting to hear how BCCI protects and claims its right to be the sole representative for India and Indian Cricket team. Even couple of companies have sent a notice to it's player not to represent ICL. Court decision on this will be fair andI just cant wait for the judgement day.
BCCI, has now trying to copy ICL format by allowing 2 international player to play in their league which they are egging former player to head. BCCI should have done this earlier and now they are proving that they are pressurised to follow and the alarm bells are ringing for them to wake up only after ICL has set an example. BCCI is only being a follower. They were sitting pretty and enjoying the richnes cricket reaps in glamour and money. Now it's the usual competition and very exciting to genuine hearts of the game.

Death lurks

Walking in the congested oneway road heading home, I happen to witness a van carrying a dead body going against the traffic. Cops seeing it immediately paid the last respect irrespective of what he was when alive sent the Van to proceed without any hindrance paving ways in the heavy traffic city. This happens in many cities that people take advantage of going against law when dead is dead causing more death or close to death kind of riding. It's amazing to see even a Cop pay the last respect by removing his hat but different person have different way of thinking and accepting life.
Even in Chennai, I have seen Water tankers coming in the wrong direction close to midnight. Well, irrespective of the time, it is always dangerous since it can cause fatality to a genuine rider or driver. Sometime this will cause and alarm and the jittered law abiding road monger might lose control and the may result in unexpected damages. Wish the surveilliance camera is installed in all the important locations to monitor and arrest these kind of drivers with huge penalities discouraging the others to stop doing it. Collecting a little money will only make it more merrier for some young and immatured water tank drivers. It's not only water Tankers even the cars who use the wrong direction driving are a threat to anyone.
------------------------
Banned baggy pants - Atlanta is considering banning the baggy that show the thongs or boxer shorts. Yes, last evening I happen to see a guy walking with the same kind of baggy pant - even he might not know what and where it is inside so loose the pant was hanging. It's really funny to see these guys.
Another danger that lurks over our head is the dead tree branches. This is surely to fall on someone sooner or later and maybe cause dire consequences. Atleast in Chennai the trees are young but in Bangalore the Big and huge trees are a real threat. Wish with many corporate in the city, someone could sponsor to cut and trim the branches to add more strenght to withstand the wind and also save life and our vehicles. Solution is not chopping the trees but trimming the right and sliding brances for the trunk to balance and withstand. Anyhow these things arent likely to happen but blogs are nice to shed out our feelings and concerns.

Interesting tit bit news that caught my attention

Cricket - Nice to read that ICL is starting their session at Mayajaal, Chennai. It's a lovely ground and the drive on the ECR should be refreshing for the players. The ground also has a small fall kind of set up maybe if its still working players will have a cool time. Wish the Mayajaal authorities allow us to drop in to see our hero's like Lara, Shane Warne n Macgrath along with the famous Pakis practice.

Brain Drain - Read that US is facing reverse brain drain. Isnt that a good news? We in India who always beleived that working in India is much better even if the monetary benefits are not that rosy until recently did expect that many Indians abroad will be lured back not only because of the U.S immigration law but mainly due to the high salary Indians are paid by the local companies. Earlier it was a glamour to go abroad so that their families and themselves can beat their chest thinking that are superior than the people living in India but not anymore. Many of our parents and our families only asked where is he abroad and never asked what job he is doing? That was the glamour living and working abroad brought but not anymore. Now with Indian market booming, high Salaries with increase buying power only lures many back. Not anymore people living abroad looked like a super human but instead we think that he has gone abroad since he isnt able or capable to earn much out in India. Reverse brain is a welcome news and expected one too.

Aerocraft - It was wonderful topic on aerocraft. The write up on India times comparing it with Hindenburg is wonderful. The cruising altitude of Hindenburg being only 750feet it would have been wonderful to see the city in such close quarters. Aerocraft is much advanced in technology as one should expect living in this era. 750feet? isnt it true in chennai kites fly higher thatn this? At that height we will be a lovely companion to the eagles which I rarely see circling in the sky like before. In Bangalore, at dusk hundreds of eagles circle and living in a terrace house, its great to watch these birds. Hope Bangalore manages to keep these birds in the centre of the city like now and not push them to the forest side.

BCCI vs ICL

As ICL revealed their list of players BCCI's heart was pounding. BCCI reacted by sacking Kapil Dev as a NCA coach. It's interesting that Zee has come up with this innovative idea of starting a league like in another other professional cricket playing countries. Well, views of ICL is attracting ex cricketer and young bloods from our own country will not add value to our talent should be from the pessimist view. Players like Warne, Macgrath, Inzy, Razzag have all just quit and opted to represent ICL. Playing against and with them will definetly sharpen the skills of our young bloods. To play Warne or Macgrath one need to lift their standards and with continuous exposure to the bowling and batting can only result in our players getting better. So what does they have to lose? Well its sad that BCCI would not consider players from ICL. These young and talented players can only get better to represent India to give more bench strenght. Unfortunately BCCI has taken it as a threat and reacting and sometime over reacting too. I only with if BCCI could consider ICL as a pipe line to stream young talent with proper channelising of money and mind to make Indian team better.
Comments on ICL recruits only ex players - well the offer is so tempting and the atmosphere is so electric that even the current player will resign to make a bigger career with huge monetary benefits. Some compare to kerry packers - kerry packer lured current players and ICL had not lured by approaching maybe but certainly and I am sure that the seniors of current Indian team should be very happy since they can hang their shoes anyday and still get paid more and play the game that they loved for year. The Ganguly's, Kaif's etc need not worry now for a Chappell or any other kind of high handedness as now they have a better option knocking at their doors. Unless BCCI thinks ICL as their suppliers and talents nuturer, Indian cricket might be sucked out of real talent in future by banning players playing for ICL.

Railway

Travelled last Sunday from Chennai to Bangalore on a special train that was suppose to leave at 2330. This train was so different since its only schedule time but its actual departure and arrival time is "as they wish" kind. Couple of weeks before I was booked on the same special train (0687) they displayed the departure platform as. It was 2330, the departure time and no train has come and another train come from some other destination on platform 1. Then there was an annoucement for us to go to platform 4 as we say the queen of its own time push back slowly. So this week I thought it will be better but it wasnt. It left at 0035 hours and believe me there was no TT to check who is on the train. The doors of each compartment was wide open for anyone to board in the transit stations. It was so scary and different.
I have also travelled on the regular train (2687) which leaves at 2315 and its prompt. There are cops inside the train and TT checks the ticket in 15mts after departure for us to sleep without any disturbance.
Why is there a huge difference in service between scheduled and special trains? Infact they call it a special train but its schedule for all the weeks on Sundays. Are the citizens travelling in the special train have no value for their money and life? Special trains are operated to meet the additional demands and we arent paying less fare to board a special train. Wish someone could take action.
Worst of all, in that special train on 19th there should have been more than 100 kids from the school of Abacus who had participated in a competition in Chennai was leaving back to Bangalore with no TT or police patrolling the train.

Dogs

Street dogs are a real threat to humans. I live in Bangalore where the street dogs, I mean dogs (many) cough huffing and puffing barking close to dragging you until they get familiar with our face. Happen to see a news paper guy being surrounded this morning and this guy threw a stone at a dog to scare them away. Surprisingly a resident lady came out screaming at the news paper guy. The guy is saying "what will I do if the dog bite?". She was only saying it wont bite. Infact even I was almost bitten by not 1 dog but 4 dogs surrounded me in my street it was such a close shave that I could feel the dog breathe.
This lady who supports the dog should try to control the dogs when it barks are the street visitors instead of doing that she only tried to control us from protecting ourself. Will anyone come for help if the dogs bites? I might have to take care of myself. For the citizen of that street, it might be a protection but its a great threat to us. This dogs are strong enough to drag a big perons and kill as well imagine if they turn upon a kid? Do they realise what they are doing?

Chennai

I have been living in Bangalore and its sad to know that we are losing one of the best cities at a rapid pace. Trees makes way for Metro and buildings. I can imagine seeing some places that this city would have been full of trees and each building that has come up would have swallowed hundreds of trees. This is changed the weather, Bangalore has losts it chillness and even rain some locals claim. IT has boomed and changed the weather. The boom has seen brimming out and spilling even in traffic. Some places are jammed most of the time. All one think when they see a huge tree is that "lovely, but it maynot be here or living always" There is no sign of tree plantations. When it rains, trees is a major cause of worry n scare since its old and dead branches are bound to fall and we need to be really lucky not to be down and a victim as well. Authorities should take care of the trees since they have very few to maintain. A school in chennai, cuts the trees big and off-way branches of the trees to bring in balance and give more strength to the main trunk to withstand the wind and rain. This is very safe for our kids in the skool. They do this just before the rainny season and its a great idea. Wish the same is followed and we could save some trees and weather and Bangalore.

Chennai

Hi starting a blog for Chennai even though currently working in Bangalore. I have been shuttling to Chennai on weekends and weekdays back to Bangalore. Travelling to Chennai in the afternoon train to reach Chennai in the night....huh what a journey it is. Thanks to Laloo's greatest and fast innovation of bring in Electronic ticketing. We are saved as we manager to get window seats otherwise Brindavan train literlly is like a crowded chennai buses. People buy Rs41/- tickets and quietly sneak into the reserved compartment to the harrassment of the reserved passengers. They block the path to the bathroom and try to occupy anyones seat if give a chance. Non of the officials are trying to control them. EVen thought this is a big and addditional revenue its deprives the reserved passengers from their freedom and liberty to move around.
Reaching Chennai, we used to park our car in a by lane and to everyone's surprise the house owners have reported to the cops and we need to remove our car elsewhere. Wonder is everyone complains and the authorities come to take action, many of the citizens will not be able to buy a car. As long as the parking of the car doesnt distract or in-between their path of their house understandably they should accept the current scenario. Houses in city comes even under CMDA as close-houses wherein we dont have to give space between each others houses while constructing. I wish the authorities take action even against the people who reported when their relatives car are parked in the same place. Imagine the tough life everyone will have once we have the 1 Lakh rupees car out?. Cant imagine that with such money power, 70% of the bikers can affort 1lakh rupee car but but but where do we park and who can complain and how can the authorities control?
